Graduate molecular biologist from the University of Copenhagen with a PhD in translational diabetes research. Marie has been employed at Steno Diabetes Center Greenland since July 2020, is affiliated at Ilisimatusarfik, and has had shared employment between Steno Diabetes Center Greenland and Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen (Clinical Epidemiology) since August 2022. In addition to guiding thesis students, Marie is engaged in epidemiological research within a number of chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, hypertension and asthma in Greenland, with a particular focus on diabetes incidence, complications, treatment quality, and mortality.
