Hjalte graduated as a doctor in 2017. He has worked in the medical department, Queen Ingrid's Hospital since 2018. In 2020 he started as a PhD student at Ilisimatusarfik, University of Greenland. Hjalte has a shared position between the medical department, Queen Ingrid's Hospital and Ilisimatusarfik. Hjalte lives in Nuuk with his family. Hjalte will investigate the incidence of heart failure in Greenland.
