Podcast: Episode 14: More involvement to treat diabetic foot ulcers

10. May 2023

Diabetic foot ulcers are very serious. A wound can develop very quickly and end with amputation if left untreated. Many people with diabetic foot ulcers lack knowledge about how important it is to relieve the wound to promote healing of the wound, so now a research team is working to crack the code so that more information to those affected can lead to better treatment.

Carrinna Hansen, PhD and clinical nurse specialist at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Zealand University Hospital in Køge and leader of the research project on diabetic foot ulcers, which is supported by Steno Diabetes Center Zealand, ends the third season by telling more about this project.

Diabetes researchers are published in a collaboration between the seven Steno Diabetes Centers. All podcasts are in Danish.
