In the autumn of 2022, Laila Motzfeldt, a graduate student at the University of Southern Denmark, completed a project at Steno Diabetes Center Greenland in Nuuk.
In the project, people with type 2 diabetes or MODY have participated in a course where they, in collaboration with the physiotherapists at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, have trained twice a week for 12 weeks.
The purpose of the project has been to investigate whether it was possible to carry out a training course for people with type 2 diabetes and MODY, and then to look at whether a training course should be made part of the treatment offer for people with diabetes or other chronic diseases.
Laila will deliver her thesis on the project in June 2023.
