It is important to promote a healthy lifestyle for children and adolescents, because the opposite can be related to the development of diseases such as type 2 diabetes in adulthood. But there is too little knowledge about how much difference it makes for a child if a mother with excess weight lives healthy during pregnancy. Based on a previous research project, a follow-up study was conducted with the now 14-year-old children to see the long-term effects of their mothers' lifestyle changes during pregnancy.
