At SDCG, we want our efforts and treatments to be based on the desires and needs of individuals with lifestyle diseases, caregivers, or individuals otherwise affected by lifestyle diseases. Therefore, SDCG has established a nationwide user panel.
At SDCG, we primarily focus on the three diseases: diabetes, COPD, and hypertension. To further develop our work effectively, we need experiences, knowledge, and inspiration from you, who have one of the aforementioned diseases closely affecting your life.
About the user panel
You can become part of our user panel if you're willing to share your insights and experiences with lifestyle diseases. For instance, you can participate in the user panel if you:
- have diabetes, COPD, or hypertension yourself
- are a caregiver to someone with diabetes, COPD, or hypertension
- are a healthcare professional involved with the diseases diabetes, COPD, or hypertension
As a participant in the user panel, you can choose which activities you want to participate in. When you sign up, we'll ask you which topics interest you. Participation in the user panel typically involves interviews, surveys, meetings, or workshops.
The topics can vary widely. They can include specific topics, interventions, or treatment options that we work with at SDCG, as well as the development or evaluation of projects and offerings for individuals with diabetes, COPD, or hypertension
For example, you can provide input on:
- Our treatment
- How we organize ourselves, such as how you can get in touch with us
- Desires for courses and education within our disease areas
- Our research projects
- How Steno Diabetes Center Greenland contributes to preventing lifestyle diseases
- How we collaborate (if you are employed in the healthcare sector)
What does it take to participate?
You don't need any special qualifications to participate in the user panel. You can always decline to participate in an activity, and you can always request to be removed from the user panel.

Data Security
Behind our user panel is SDCG, which is part of the Greenlandic Healthcare System. At SDCG, we comply with all rules regarding the processing and storage of your personal information. Your responses are treated and stored confidentially. We do not disclose your personal data and contact information to others, and information from activities in the user panel will not be included in your medical record.
When you sign up for our user panel, you also consent to us contacting you at the email address you provide during registration. The questions you answer during registration are securely and confidentially stored.

You can always contact us at sund@peqqik.gl and state that you wish to unsubscribe from the user panel.
